Dr. Joon Y. Park is a biomedical researcher and exercise scientist in the Department of Health, Human Performance, and Recreation of Baylor University's Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences.

In collaboration with experts in various fields, Dr. Park uses multidisciplinary innovative approaches, including microfluidics systems, -omics technology, and machine learning platforms. His research program has been continuously sponsored by federal and organizational funding agencies. He is also passionate about STEM education across the undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral levels. His trainees have been sponsored by various national scholarships and training grants, including the NIH MARC U-STAR, the NIDDK STEP-UP, the Barry Goldwater Scholarship, and the AHA Pre- and Postdoctoral fellowships. Dr. Park is involved in multiple national services as a journal editor, a grant reviewer, an organizational committee, and a scientific program working group.
